Welcome, Mr. President

I will be the first person to admint when I have done a wrong and voting for BUSH in 2000 was WRONG. But my hopes came down to either going with Al Gore, whom just didn't seem interesting enough nor the type of man I wanted to run the government. Then there is BUSH who I went with because I viewed his cabinet as having a lot of experience and that is the group I wanted in the White House - Actually - the only person that I cared for and would like to see him go further in his political career is Colin Powell.

Now we are 5 1/2 years later and Mr. Bush is visiting California and here is the deal... Iran is giving us crap about the Nuclear program they are sponsoring and in the same breath saying that the price of OIL is perfect and great and that we as Americans should be paying more at the pumps for our oil - and the thing is - he is right. We pay much less than the Eurpeans do for their oil - maybe it is because we keep INVADING everyone who produces oil so we get it at a discount. (almost like the 5 fingered discount you get when you cousin is working at the local Mickey D's - I like the Large Fries, please).

So, my statement to Mr. Bush is this - we need to start getting off our collective American butts and do what is right for the country:
  • I support the troops - but not the war - get out of IRAQ & Afghanistan
  • Time for BETTER ENERGY preservation - we need better fuels for our cars and our homes
  • We have too many homeless - bad healthcare - too many lobbyest in this country

I am concerned with the direction that our nation is taking. I believe that we are a great super power whom needs to make our nation a GREAT place to live and we need to start worrying about home issues instead of international issues.

Please listen to the American People - do remember that we put you in office and that you work for us and that your guidance and your legacy will be determined by what you do in the next few years.

Peace,

Bill
